Stamping die bending
The depth of the die should be appropriate. The depth of the die is too small, there are too many random parts on both sides of the blank, and the workpiece has poor elasticity and is not straight; if the depth of the die is too large, the die increases, consumes more die steel, and requires a larger working stroke of the press; The straightness of the stamping is not high, the circumference is short, and the depth of the die is measured by 4 to 8 times the thickness of the material, but the perceived value is not less than 2mm.
When designing the bending die for U-shaped stamping parts, the opening depth of the die (including the upper and lower thickness) should not exceed 2/5 of the total thickness of the die to avoid stamping. The mold cracks due to the tension created during the bending process. In addition, during the heat treatment process, the bending die generally only solves part of the arc of the female die to maintain the toughness of the bottom of the stamping die and ensure the service life of the stamping die.
(1) When the punching thickness is less than 2mm, the depth of the punch into the die cannot exceed 0.8mm.
(2) For cemented carbide molds, the depth of the punch entering the concave die should not exceed 0.5mm.
(3) For drawing and bending dies, the depth of the punch into the die should be determined by the pressure test method.
