In addition to these three basic forms of motion, complex and sophisticated injection moulded parts must also have a specific form of motion for the selected motion mechanism. In order to determine the form of motion of the injection mould, the mould design can be determined by creating a diagram of the moulding requirements of the injection moulded part and the specific form of motion of the selected motion mechanism during the moulding analysis of the injection moulded part. The movement of the injection moulded part and the intervening elements are among the elements that determine the form of movement and the motion mechanism of the injection mould. Due to its highly concealed nature, it is difficult to carry out a type analysis of its injection moulded parts, or even to detect the movement and intervention elements of the injection moulded parts during mould design and modelling. Because of this, we have to be very careful to detect the elements of movement and intervention of the injection moulded part when carrying out shape analysis, mould design and modelling of the injection moulded part. In order to carry out the moulding process smoothly, the injection mould motion mechanism must fulfil the forms of movement specified in the mould manufacturing plan, and these forms of movement will influence the mould design. The different forms of movement of the kinematic mechanism are called kinematic elements. Even if a mould has the same form of motion, the construction of the mould will vary due to the different choices of motion mechanisms.
