
The injection moulding process has no power source of its own and requires power from the opening and closing and demoulding movements of the moulding machine. The injection mould is mounted on the moving and fixed plates of the moulding machine and the opening and closing movements are achieved by the movement of the moving plates and the release movements of the injection moulded parts are obtained by the movement of the top bar of the moulding machine. Therefore, it can be said that the opening and closing movements of the injection moulded part and the demoulding movement are independent movements. As the power consumption is a function and is the movement of the moulding machine moving the mould plate, then the mould opening and closing movement is the main movement. Other forms of motion are additional motions derived from these two independent motions, such as the core extraction motion of the injection mould and the fixed demoulding motion of the injection moulded part. There are also other auxiliary movements such as the limit mechanism movement of the core extraction mechanism and the return movement of the demoulding mechanism. The injection mould has three basic movements, namely the analysis movement of the mould, the core extraction movement of the mould and the demoulding movement of the mould. Even for a simple injection moulded part, the analysis movement of the mould and the release movement of the mould are necessary for the successful moulding of the part. If the injection moulded part has side holes or recesses, the injection moulding process mould factory also needs to carry out lateral analysis and core extraction movements.
