Due to the increasingly high requirements for die casting, the improvement of H13 steel grades is becoming more and more urgent. The improvement of H13 steel at home and abroad has never stopped.
The domestic model corresponding to H13 steel is 4Cr5MoSiV1. Now the relatively perfect improvement direction is: 1) Aluminum die-casting at the steel composition level increases the content of Mo and reduces the content of Si and V 2) At the steelmaking process level, try to reduce the content of inclusions in the steel and improve the purity of the steel; 3) The aluminum die-casting process should be improved before the delivery of the steel mill, and the organization of the delivery will be improved.
The content of Mo in the early H13 steel is 1.5% or lower. After adding aluminum die-casting elements, the tempering resistance of the steel is significantly improved. Increasing the Mo content is a recent trend to improve H13 steel. H13 steel is a hot work tool steel, and its use conditions are harsh, because the die casting process requires the mold to withstand thousands of tons of pressure, and the temperature of the molten aluminum is relatively high (much higher than the return of H13). fire temperature).
